Black Beauty - Black Forest Mousse Cake

GLUTEN – FREE, LOW CARB, DAIRY-FREE, NO REFINED SUGARS, NO PEANUT/TREE NUTS. Contains Alcohol, Raising Agent & Eggs. 

A Black Forest cake is said to comprise of chocolate sponge cake with cherries & whipped cream. It is frosted with whipped cream, cherries & chocolate shavings. A cherry schnapps (Kirsch) is used to flavour the cream.

To make our Black Forest Mousse Cake, we chose to up the alcohol even more. Featuring a layer of Kirsch soaked chocolate sponge, Kirsch soaked cherries, covered over with white chocolate vanilla mousse, and dark sugar free chocolate mousse. Topped with dark chocolate ganache, and a plump Kirsch soaked dark cherry. This inspired & very alcoholic mousse cake will have you feeling slightly ‘elated’…if you know what I mean…

Limited, subject to availability of dark cherries (fresh) in the local markets/supermarkets. As dark cherries is seasonal, we try to keep a store of these cherries, pre-soaked in Kirsch. Once our supplies run out, we are unable to fulfil your order until the new season arrives.

Care Instructions: Served chilled, using a ‘heated’ steel knife. Any leftovers must be kept chilled in a good refrigerator using a plastic container and should be consumed within 2-3 days from delivery of cake. 

This cake is made with the following ingredients: Gluten-free flour, raising agents, eggs, oil, non-refined sugar, sugar-free dark chocolate, Kirsch liquer, air-flown dark cherries, cocoa powder, non-diary cream, white chocolate, gelatin (non-animal)
